Since 2012, MCAN has maintained a contract with the Institute for Public Policy and Social Research at Michigan State University to periodically measure the college-going culture of adults in the state of Michigan through the State of the State Survey (SOSS). For the results displayed here, please note that a change in the data collection method occurred in 2021, due to the pandemic. For all years, responses of “very important” and “somewhat important” are included in the totals.
